One of the most devastating case we’ve had to put up with at Brightshiners is accommodating 3 brothers from a very destitute home of a single mother with the highest number of kids in one single room. Recently, the poor woman just had another child and one of our teachers privy to the family appealed for relief to save her life, her newly born’s and the rest of the other 9.
The 3 brothers have been freely accommodated in our school for 3 years with hopes that to one day secure sponsorship that would stand in for their scholarship and a little more for their up keep. In our school, we provide for two simple meals; porridge and lunch. We just learned these is all the trio have to survive with most times and they are lucky to have these at least from Monday – Friday when there siblings back home have no guarantee to such consistent feeding.
We continue to make appeal for a well-wisher that would extent a heart of compassion to support these trio and perhaps the rest of the family back home.
